1990s. Vintage Hermes rare, clear transparent vinyl Kelly bag, Japan limited Edition.
Rare masterpiece and collectible bag from Hermes Japon.
The vinyl Kelly was first born in 1996 for more smooth security check at Paris Collection.
In 1997, there was an exhibition called "Hermes exhibition in the wonderland".
The vinyl Kelly has first been sold at the exhibition. "SOUVENIR DE L'EXPOSITION 1997" prints on the bag stands for the exhibition.
In 1998, when the Hermes store at the Seibu Department store in Funabashi (Chiba prefecture, Japan) opened, the orange transparent Kelly bag was born.
This was meant to celebrate the Hermes's 160th year, and only sold at the 160th year Celebration exhibition at the Seibu department store.

The purse is still in a good vintage condition despite its use and age.
Slight colorchanges on the round screws at handle base.
The closure hock and brass are shining beautifully and working fine.
No wear at edges or corners.
Clean interior.

This product(The vinyl kelly bags) was sold at Mitsukoshi department store in Fukuoka, and it did not associate with dust bag or box either unlike regular merchandise because this was sold as the exhibition souvenir product held in the only selected department stores in Japan in 1997. (The orange clear vinyl kelly was sold in 1998.)
So, the quantity was also limited.
Therefore, this item cannot be treated as a regular merchandise at any of the Hermes stores worldwide.
They WILL NOT accept for its repair either.
